Entered the Studio on Saturday 10/22/11 to start work for the next album. Had not recorded to a click track and headphones for a bit so that is always fun. Started with one of the newest songs written was not such a good idea. Overall things went alright and got my juices flowing. It was just me, my 1960′s Vox 12 string Acoustic/Electric, and Rich McCulley at Red Hill Recording in Echo Park CA. We sent the Vox acoustic through my 1967 Ampeg Jet and used my vintage Electrovoice 660 mic on the Ampeg. We also placed a mic in front of the acoustic guitar. Got a cool effect that way-We will be able to play with that when mixing! We captured some good acoustic guitar and vocals that will be used on the album. Till next time…
